TIPS FOR KEEPING YOUR SUPER BOWL PARTY SAFE FOR PETS

Parties are enjoyable, but between conversation, watching the big game and having a few drinks, it's easy to lose track of your pet's whereabouts. As you make your plans for game night, it's important to consider your pet's safety and well-being.
Don't tempt fate: The temptation of party foods may be too great for some pets. Look into alternative arrangements before agreeing to host or consider leaving your pet at home if attending.
Minimize fumbles: Pets may decide to run smart, aggressive plays if begging doesn't work, so encourage guests to use snack trays or sit at a table to minimize dropped food.
Go for the extra point: Keep treats on hand for pets with snack-starved eyes.
Oversee like a referee: Never leave plates and cups unattended, as they are tempting to pets, and be sure to clean up promptly, as sufficiently-motivated pets will find a way even if blocked at the line of scrimmage.
Call a time out: Noisy crowds can make pets nervous so provide them with a quiet space, away from the party, where they can decompress if needed.
