seeing eye dogs

Tuesday, April 22 @ 7 PM

Don McGowan, a retired IT executive, oversees and coordinates outreach volunteers for The Seeing Eye’s Pennies for Puppies and Dollars for Dogs programs. He will share the ins and outs of being a Foster Puppy Raiser, along with heartwarming stories of how these remarkable puppies enhance lives—from their temporary foster families to their future partners in independence.
For over 30 years, our doctors and pet care team have proudly veterinary care to Seeing Eye and Guiding Eye puppies in our community. We hope to inspire local families to step up and open their homes to these puppies, helping teach house manners, basic obedience, and socialization in everyday environments—from shopping trips and car rides to airports and airplanes.
If you’ve ever considered fostering a future guide dog, this is an event you won’t want to miss! (And you might get to meet a pup or two!)

Is Pet Insurance Right for You ?

Imagine coming home to find your beloved dog sick—vomiting and listless - or your cat is walking in and out of the litter box. Panicked, you rush them to Greenwood Lake Animal Hospital, where you learn they need emergency surgery (obstruction for the dog and blockage for kitty) with overnight monitoring. At a referral hospital, that could mean a bill of several thousand dollars. Would you be able to afford it?
Pet insurance can help ease the financial burden of unexpected veterinary costs, reimbursing you for expenses like emergency treatments, prescription medications, surgeries, allergy care, and chronic illnesses.
In critical moments, pet insurance could be the difference between life-saving care and an unthinkable decision. It’s peace of mind for you—and protection for the furry family member who depends on you most.
The best time to get insurance for your pet is when they are a kitten, puppy or before the age of three. We are in the process of upgrading our professional software to be able to submit claims at time of service for immediate reimbursement Trupanion Coverage Goes the Distance | Get a Quote
