We want to take the time to celebrate and thank our wonderful employee, Jo-Ann, for her time and dedication to Greenwood Lake Animal Hospital. Jo-Ann is retiring after being a part of our family for 26 years!!
She began with us as a receptionist becoming a master in cryptology, deciphering the doctors' medical notes into patient records. Jo-Ann is a lifelong resident of West Milford. She met her city "slicker husband" on Awosting beach, where he insisted, swimming across the lake was "No Problem." Halfway across, he began to flounder, and Jo-Ann fished him out of the lake. But it was Paul who reeled her in!
Jo-Ann actually never missed a day of work. Dr. Louer said no matter the weather, Jo-Ann was always at work with a smile on her face. JoAnn loves being part of GWLAH family she would always first to staff parties. During the workday, there was always a cat sitting with her on her lap or her head, starting with Julie way back in the day. We hope we she will continue to grace us with her companionship at future staff parties!
The recent heat "dome" has been challenging to our furry family. We wanted to provide some information regarding dehydration signs, water intoxication signs, and signs of heat stroke below.

Please, if you see any of these signs, give us a call at 973-728-2233 so our medical team can help guide you in helping your pet.
