When traveling with your pet, it’s important to have the right medical certificates, as both kennels and airlines need them. Make sure your furry friend is up-to-date on their vaccinations and has had a recent check-up with a health certificate that shows they’re healthy. Don’t forget to check the specific requirements with your airline and boarding facility! Just a heads-up: GWLAH does not provide international health certificates for pets traveling abroad. Happy tails!

Routine vaccinations are a key way to protect against serious diseases. We also offer titer testing to check if a booster is needed, and if your pet needs one based on the results, we provide it at no extra cost. (Please note: Rabies titer testing cannot replace a booster)
At Greenwood Lake Animal Hospital, our caring team is here to give your pet the right vaccinations to keep them healthy and happy for years to come!
We’re Here for You. - Not sure if your pet needs vaccinations? No problem! Just give us a call at 973-728-2233 to check their vaccination status .
Dogs and cats have a special way of hiding their pain and discomfort—after all, love is blind, and they want to keep shining bright in your family’s life!
As our furry friends age, they reach "senior" status at different times based on their breed and lifestyle. Their weight can significantly affect how they age, so it’s important to support them through this transition. We recommend discussing personalized care strategies during their next exam. Senior pets should have check-ups every six months to catch any health changes early.
Call us at 973-728-2233 to schedule an appointment. Let us help you keep your pet healthy and happy, so you can share many more wonderful years together!
With a combination of drought and low humidity, bush fires are ablaze. Our volunteer firefighters have been battling the flames for weeks now. They have been answering calls for mutual aid often working through the night. We would like to thank our volunteer firefighters and EMTS for devoting their time to the welfare of our community. (And big thanks to Keith - our Technician Assistant - who is a volunteer firefighter).
To all our two- and four-legged veterans, we love and appreciate you! We are deeply grateful to all veterans, especially our brave canine warriors. These remarkable military dogs stand by our soldiers, providing essential support both on and off the battlefield. They play a vital role in completing missions while also offering love and comfort as soldiers transition back to civilian life.
When our heroes return home, these amazing animals are there to help ease the journey, showing unwavering loyalty and grace. Their presence brings warmth and reassurance, reminding us all of the special bond between humans and their furry companions.
We are truly thankful for these K9 heroes, whose courage and compassion inspire us every day. Thank you for your service and for the joy you bring to our lives!
